Odor From HVAC Vents on Volkswagen Jetta

Condensation in the Volkswagen Jetta heater housing may cause a musty odor from the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system after the vehicle has been sitting for 2 hours or more.

To fix, an HVAC vent cleaner is available to clean the heater case. The HVAC drain system should be checked for debris.
