MINI oil change service in Ann Arbor, MI by ASA certified auto repair technicians using MINI factory approved oil and oil filter.
One of the best things you can do to extend the life of your MINI engine is change the oil more frequently. Factory recommended oil change intervals are the minimum. If you intend to keep your MINI for longer than the factory warranty period you should change the engine oil every 5,000 to 7,000 miles.
And you should use factory recommended oil quality and MINI factory oil filter (see below).
MINI Factory Warranty Safe
You are not required to take your MINI back to an authorized MINI dealer for services or maintenance services that you are required to pay for. We can perform your required MINI maintenance service while your MINI Cooper is still under factory warranty.
We use factory approved parts and lubricants and stamp your maintenance record book. Our work meets all factory MINI warranty requirements. With our 24 months/24,000 miles parts and labor guarantee (some parts lifetime warranty) you can be confident in our workmanship.

By law, you are NOT required to have your MINI service performed by a MINI dealer. Federal Law Prohibits any MINI dealership from implying or denying warranty service because scheduled routine maintenance was performed at an independent auto repair facility. Title 15 Chapter 50 sections 2301-2312 US Federal Code.

FAQ About MINI Service
How often will I need to perform MINI service and Inspections?
The MINI Service Interval Indicator, located in the center of the speedometer, will notify you which service is due. Each time your MINI is started the indicator will display the mileage until the next service is needed. If the service display is flashing and the mileage is displayed as a negative your MINI service is overdue.
Service duration will vary depending on the model and year of your MINI, the climate and conditions in which you drive, and your driving habits. Your MINI Service Interval Display will flash to alert you when it's time to schedule an oil change, roughly every 7,500 miles. This is a minimum service period to meet minimum warranty requirements. Following this minimum is NOT recommended if you want to keep your MINI beyond the warranty period. We strongly recommend an oil change service every 5,000 miles if you do mostly city driving. See our warning on MINI engine sludge problems (below) when your MINI is not serviced often enough.
MINI Engine Sludge Problem
The MINI Flexible Service System (FSS) is designed to tell you when your vehicle needs service. However, many MINI owners are experiencing engine failure even when they follow the factory service schedule.
Not changing engine oil often enough can cause engine sludge which leads to blocked engine internal oil passages causing problems with the MINI engine variable valve timing gears and MINI chain tensioner failure.
Engine sludge is a thick, dark by-product of fuel combustion that contaminates the motor oil. These by-products collect in the oil and form sludge. Sludge can happen to any vehicle, regardless of the car’s age or mileage. MINI's used mostly for short trips in city traffic, and in cold winter weather, are especially susceptible to engine sludge. Changing the oil more frequently is the only way to prevent engine sludge problems.
Which oils can be used in a MINI?
MINI require special synthetic oils to maintain optimal performance and engine life. You must use synthetic oil in a MINI. We use MINI warranty approved oils in our MINI oil change service for Ann Arbor, MI.
